Yıldız Wood is located between two touristic places, Beşiktaş and Ortaköy. Easy to reach from various locations of Istanbul. In the area you can encounter forest birds, gulls and cormorants which are common and easy to observe from close distance. Among the birds you can expect are Kokmeeuw, Halsbandparkiet, Grote Alexanderparkiet, Alpengierzwaluw, Cetti's Zanger, Palmtortel, Zwarte Roodstaart, Aalscholver and Dwergaalscholver. The first option: Take any bus from Beşiktaş to Ortaköy and get off in "Yahya Efendi" bus stop (2nd bus stop after Beşiktaş). The entrance is 2 minutes walk distance from there. The secon option: reach Beşiktaş or Ortaköy via various public transportation. The entrance is in 7-10 minutes walking distance from each direction.
