Beschrijving
The Longis bird hide is located in a small managed reserve with with a small pond and reed-beds at centre, with hillside (gorse bushed) and willow scrub to north, rough grazing to south and west. The area attracts passage migrant passerines, hirundines, raptors, and waterfowl. There is a shallow bay 250m east, that is good for waders.

The Longis bird hide is located on the Channel Island of Alderney, at Longis, towards east end of Alderney. There is no public transport in Alderney, but the Longis bird hide area can be reached by bike, car or on foot from St. Anne or the harbour, 10, 5 and 30 minutes respectively, travelling east along central road across the island. Allow 1 to 2 hours at the site.
