Beschrijving
I was amazed to see that the harbour at low tide is a popular roosting area for autumn migrant flocks of Goudplevier and Dwergstern. Large numbers of Kleine Alk, Dwergmeeuw, Grote Jager, Kleine Jager, Kleinste Jager, Noordse Pijlstormvogel, Grauwe Pijlstormvogel, Drieteenmeeuw and Noordse Stormvogel can be seen from the clifftop walk east of town.
Beyond the Seaton Cliffs reserve, 3 miles on foot from Arbroath, is Seaton Den, a wooded valley frequented by migrant passerines. Rarities like Bladkoning, Spotvogel, Kleine Vliegenvanger and Sperwergrasmus may turn up in autumn.
Cliffs can be steep, take care with children and dogs. There is a tarmac path.
