Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of Smient, Wintertaling and Slobeend in winter, amongst smaller numbers of Brilduiker. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Tureluur, Scholekster and Kleine Plevier in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of Kleine Karekiet, Rietzanger and Cetti's Zanger, Koekoek and Waterral. Boomvalk are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Breedbekstrandloper and Gestreepte Strandloper, Rosse Franjepoot, Draaihals and Roodkopklauwier.

Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
