Beschrijving
Nestled on the edge of a suburbia, C.S. Lewis Nature Reserve has a pond surrounded by woodland which provides habitat for a range of birds all year round.
All year round, birds such as Koolmees, Pimpelmees, Winterkoning, Vink, Taigaboomkruiper, Goudhaan and other garden birds are plentiful around the woodland. On the pond, Wilde Eend, Waterhoen, and Meerkoet are common sights. Blauwe Reiger and IJsvogel can be seen on occasion along with other species.
In the Spring and Summer, Tuinfluiter, Zwartkop, Groene Specht, and others can be seen throughout the reserve.

Toegang
Located at the South end of Risinghurst, C.S. Lewis Nature Reserve is located almost 5 km East of Oxford. Plenty of street parking is available to the North of the reserve and accessed along a footpath from the street. Bus connections are possible from the centre of Oxford heading out through Headington.
The paths are narrow, uneven, and can be wet and slippery in the winter and after rain. The bottom half is reasonably level on the North side of the pond with a hill on the South side giving multiple routes. Wheelchair accessibility is possible from the street to the pond, but going any further is difficult due to the terrain.
