Beschrijving
The area around Errwood Reservoir is a good site for many upland woodland species such as Bonte Vliegenvanger, Gekraagde Roodstaart, Boompieper and Grauwe Vliegenvanger and the best time to visit is in spring when the birds are in song. Fluiter is also present some years. Oeverloper, Kleine Plevier and Mandarijneend can be found around the southern end of the reservoir itself and Schots sneeuwhoen and Wulp are common on the surrounding moors. Waterspreeuw and Grote Gele Kwikstaart inhabit the stream to the south of the reservoir and several species of raptor can often be seen in flight over the valley.

There is a fairly large car park in the south west corner of Errwood Reservior and from there you can take the paths and road to the south through the woods and along the riversdie path.
