Frenchman's Rocks is a useful seawatch point in late summer and early autumn, best when a SW or NW wind is blowing. Best views are from the hill next to Wavegen Power Station, called Rubha na Faing on the Ordnance Survey map. There is a car park at Claddach near Currie Sands beach.
Birds to see are Topper, Zwarte Zee-eend, IJsduiker, Parelduiker, Roodkeelduiker, Grauwe Pijlstormvogel, Noordse Pijlstormvogel, Vale Pijlstormvogel, Vaal Stormvogeltje, Grote Jager, Middelste Jager, Kleine Jager, Noordse Stern, Vorkstaartmeeuw, Drieteenmeeuw, Rosse Grutto, Oeverpieper, Steenloper and Paarse Strandloper.
