Beschrijving
At Gunthorpe Gravel Pits 120+ species of bird have been seen, including Nonnetje, Grote Zaagbek and Middelste Zaagbek in winter, when Kievit, Slobeend and teal can be numerous on flooded fields. Spring brings Kleine Karekiet, Rietzanger, Sprinkhaanzanger to breed, and Zwarte Stern, Tapuit and Paapje on migration. In summer, Boomvalk hunt swallows over the ponds.
