Beschrijving
Knettishall has a variety of habitats, including heathland, woods and a river. Several of the most typical birds of the Suffolk Brecks can be found here, including Boomleeuwerik and Houtsnip. Nachtzwaluw can be heard on summer nights and may breed. Five species of owls have been recorded on the reserve, with Kerkuil and Bosuil the species you are most likely to encounter. IJsvogel are recorded regularly along the river, the Little Ouse. Ponies (mainly Exmoors) are used to manage the site.

Knettishall is close to Thetford, where the headquarters of the BTO are based. There is plenty of parking, but no links to public transport. Though always a delightful place to walk, birds can, sometimes, be difficult to find. There are many trails to follow the 8 km circular walk shown on the map is just a suggestions. It is easy to make it longer or shorter. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot.
