Parc Bryn Bach is a country park with lake. IJsvogel nest sites on the island. The area also has a Oeverzwaluw colony. Veldleeuwerik, Rode Wouw, Fuut, Kuifeend. Occasional rarity, eg Kleine Topper in 2013. The moors to the south, with footpath access, rise to 450 metres, look for possible Roodborsttapuit, Tapuit, Nachtzwaluw, Buizerd, Raaf, Graspieper, Koekoek, Waterspreeuw or Grote Gele Kwikstaart.

From A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take Tredegar turning, then first right on minor road for half a mile. Car park on the left. Click on the P in the map for directions. Buses from Abergavenny or Cardiff. No train station nearby.
