Scottish Seabird Centre is located ideally for seawatching of nesting Papegaaiduiker on Craigleith Island, half a mile offshore, and Jan-van-gent on the Bass Rock. Plus waders in autumn and seabirds in winter. Paarse Strandloper, Steenloper, Alk, Zeekoet, Kleine Alk, Roodkeelduiker, IJseend and skuas. Nearby, boat trips leave for the Bass Rock Jan-van-gent colony and for seal and dolphin trips.

The car park at the centre which fills quickly in summer, allow plenty of time to park. Click on the P in the map to gert directions. Link below has details of other car parks. Bus stop right by the quay.
