Beschrijving
The flooded former gravel workings in the Kennet valley running over four miles from south west Reading to Sulhampstead attracts birds all year round. Among the birds you can encounter are Zwartkop, Braamsluiper, Tuinfluiter, Cetti's Zanger, Boomvalk and Nachtegaal. There is a substantial population of Winter ducks, mostly dabbling, including hundreds of Kuifeend, Krakeend and Smient and the odd Brilduiker.
