Soudley Ponds has resident IJsvogel, Grote Gele Kwikstaart, Mandarijneend, Dodaars and Staartmees. Small birds attend the feeder in the top car park, including Boomklever and Grote Bonte Specht. Roe deer and wild boar are in the area.
A short climb up to Blaize Bailey gives one a panoramic view of the Severn estuary. Here a telescope may reveal soaring raptors or flocks of migrants . The walks marked on the map total three and a half kilometres.

The Soudley Ponds are three miles south of Littledean or Cinderford. Parking is free in the top car park or at the Dean Heritage Centre. Click on a P in the map to get directions.
