The Avant-port is a port zone that includes several basins along the river Rhine. It is easy to see the birds from the riverbank. Many Knoppsvane and Sothøne with some Stokkand and Storskarv year-round, and Toppand and Hettemåke in winter. During a cold winter, Laksand is sometimes seen.

The Avant-port of Strasbourg is located on the eastern outskirts of Strasbourg, along the Rhine River. Easy to reach by car or bicycle. Press P on the map for directions. Several tram and bus lines run close to the port area.
