Description
Eagle Gorge is an easily accessible gorge from Dedoplistsqaro. Gåsegribb, Svartstork and Vandrefalk breed on the cliffs and can easily be seen from specific watchpoints along the routes. On warm days, Slangeørn and Dvergørn make regular appearances. In the forest down in the valley Pirol and Østsanger, underarten nitidus can be heard in spring and summer.
The cliff walls are home to Klippespettmeis, Blåtrost and Klippesvale. Near the parking lot Svarthodespurv, Hortulan and Hauksanger are heard singing or can be seen on migration. In autumn, Jomfrutrane are sometimes seen migrating past the highest tops. Further along the path there is a breeding facility for wild Fasan , so a true wild bird of this species has to be encountered somewhere else.
