Description

Draycote Water is a scenic water body with nice views over some surrounding agricultural lands. Draycote gets lots of visitors - not just birders - and is most popular on sunny, warm days! The birding is best in the winter when lots of migratory bird come to overwinter, including Kvinand, Islom, Krikkand, Dvergdykker, Toppdykker, Storskarv, Rødvingetrost, Gråtrost and Snadderand.

Access

Draycote is easily accessible by a main road. There is plenty of car parking, although it does get full on very busy days in the summer. Car parking costs £3 for 2 hours or £5 for all day. The path around the reservoir (7,5 km) is great for walking, cycling and wheelchairs, but cars are not allowed on it.
