Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as Siland flying in and out of the Estuary. In the bushes and muddy areas you can find Svartstrupe, Sivspurv and Skjærpiplerke during the winter and if you are lucky Snøspurv. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch Ringgås, Sandløper, Polarsnipe, Myrsnipe, Sandlo, Rødstilk, Avosett, Storspove, Tundralo, Svarthalespove and Lappspove at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
