Richmond Park and Glasgow Green are close to the city centre and accessible by a footbridge over the River Clyde. Glasgow Green is the oldest of the city's parks and has some interesting monuments. Both parks are easy to combine for a visit and offer some relaxed urban birdwatching. The area has trees, bushes, grasslands, sports fields, river banks and a big pond. Among the birds you can encounter are Knoppsvane, Toppand, Laksand, Linerle, Stillits, Trekryper, Bokfink and Stillits.

The parks are easy accessible on foot from the city centre. The People’s Palace café in Glasgow Green is a nice place for lunch.
