Description
Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Svartand, Sjøorre and the rare Brilleand together. Also wintering here may be Ærfugl, Kvinand, Laksand, Gråstrupedykker, Horndykker, all 3 diver species, Fjæreplytt and Siland.
Sanglerke, Skjærpiplerke, Tjeld, Rødstilk, Sandlo and Tornirisk breed here, plus Grankorsnebb, Grønnsisik and Fuglekonge in the pines.
As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Hauksanger, Gulbrynsanger and Dvergfluesnapper may turn up in September.
