Century Park (世纪公园) in Shanghai is the city’s largest urban park with more than 140 hectares. The park has lakes, forests, lawns and a designated bird conservation area around Birds' Island (2). This area is located at the center of Century Park. Birds that breed in the park include Light-vented Bulbul, Azure-winged Magpie, Vinous-throated Parrotbill, and Chinese Blackbird. Wintering birds include Pallas's Leaf Warbler, White's Thrush, Dusky Thrush, Pale Thrush, Yellow-bellied Tit, Daurian Redstart, and Red-flanked Bluetail.
Birds that are often observed include Little Grebe, Little Egret, Black-crowned Night Heron, Crested Goshawk, Eurasian Hoopoe, Common Kingfisher, Long-tailed Shrike and Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Passage migrants that can show up in the park include Ashy Drongo, Siberian Blue Robin, Dollarbird, Japanese Thrush, Sakhalin Leaf Warbler and Rufous-tailed Robin. During migration season and in winter, you can find around 35 bird species in the park.

Century Park in Shanghai is located in Pudong at the eastern end of Century Avenue, near the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum. Century Park is best reached by taking Line 2 on the Shanghai Metro to Century Park station (1). It is also within walking distance from Shanghai Science and Technology Museum station. Entrance to the park is free.
