Opis

Le Pont des Fées trail in Gérardmer initially overlooks the Vologne River before running directly alongside its fast-flowing, rocky waters. This environment blends mixed forest and stream, offering a wide diversity of habitats. It is an area of ​​interest for observing forest birds such as the kapturka , sosnówka , rudzik , pełzacz leśny and dzięcioł zielony , as well as species associated with waterways such as pliszka górska and pluszcz, typical of these fast-flowing rivers.

Français: Sentier forestier du Pont des Fées à Gérardmer, longeant la Vologne et la petite île Marie-Louise. Parcours idéal pour observer le Cincle plongeur. Le sentier du Pont des Fées à Gérardmer surplombe d’abord la Vologne avant de longer directement ses eaux vives et rocailleuses. Ce milieu mêle forêt mixte et torrent, offrant une forte diversité d’habitats. Zone d’intérêt pour l’observation d’oiseaux forestiers comme kapturka , sosnówka , rudzik , pełzacz leśny ou dzięcioł zielony , mais aussi d’espèces liées aux cours d’eau telles que pliszka górska et pluszcz , typique de ces rivières rapides.

Access is via a parking lot located between Gérardmer and Xonrupt-Longemer (Boulevard de Colmar, near the Saut des Cuves waterfall). The trail starts directly west from the parking lot. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. The route is best done on foot: the first section, before the Pont des Fées (Fairy Bridge), is rugged (rocks, roots, footbridges, and stream crossings). The total length of the walk shown on the map is about 3,5 km.

Français: L’accès se fait via un parking situé entre Gérardmer et Xonrupt-Longemer (boulevard de Colmar, près du site du Saut des Cuves). Le sentier démarre directement à l’ouest depuis le parking. Le parcours s’effectue de préférence à pied : la première portion, avant le Pont des Fées, est accidentée (rochers, racines, passerelles et franchissements de ruisseaux).

After the Pont des Fées, it is possible to follow the Vologne in the opposite direction to leave, but it is advisable to continue on the left until the Martimpré stream.
