On the south-western tip of Sardinia, opposite the Sulcis coast, lies San Pietro Island—an island of high, jagged cliffs that plunge into crystal-clear waters. The cliffs of Capo Sandalo, on the western side, are a major draw for sokół skalny. If you’re visiting this enchanting place, you can admire these beautiful birds of prey, which live and nest on the island. Naturally, great care must be taken not to disturb them, though they are usually seen soaring over the waves or perched on the inaccessible cliffs.

Recandovi in questo posto incantevole potrete ammirare questo bellissimo rapace che su questa isola nidifica e vive. Ovviamente va posta molta attenzione al fatto di non disturbare gli animali che comunque sono continuamente in volo oppure sulla scogliera praticamente inaccessibile.

Isola di San Pietro lies in the south-western tip of Sardinia. Ferries to Carloforte - the only town on San Pietro island - leave from Portovesme and Calasetta. The first one takes about 40 minutes, the second 30 minutes. There are numerous daytime sailings, approximately every hour.
