Opis
Krvavo Jezero is a small, shallow lake adjacent to the much larger Lake Palić in the west and also close to the large Lake Ludaš in the east. Lake Krvavo is only about half a metre deep on average, and in dry periods it can shrink to little more than a muddy basin. Although it’s a freshwater lake, the surrounding soil contains some salts, which slowly seep into the water. When the basin holds enough water, Lake Krvavo becomes a surprisingly lively stopover for wetland species moving between the lakes Palić and Ludaš. Also due to the low amount of people that visit Lake Krvavo, the area attracts a lot of birds.
