The Set River near Aspa is a good place to look for birds of steep rocky arid habitats. The most interesting species you can observe are bialorzytka zalobna, modrak, kraska, and dzierzba sródziemnomorska. At night, puchacz can be heard and with luck, seen. Other resident birds species present in the area are siniak, dzięcioł iberyjski, wronczyk, and dzierlatka iberyjska.

During the breeding season, some remarkable summer species are: kania czarna, turkawka, jaskółka rudawa, and białorzytka rdzawa. In winter, in the deciduous forest the most interesting species are droździk and grubodziób.

Aspa is located near Lleida. The site can only be reached by car. Press P on the map for directions. Park close to the road, and walk following the paved road direction east, looking for birds on the cliffs and in the deciduous forest and birds present on the river.

The place is very hot in summer, so better go birding in the early morning. In winter it can be foggy.
