Opis
Cardiff Bay is good for birds all year round. Residents include kamusznik, kopciuszek, świergotek nadmorski and nurogęś. The first can be seen on the green walkways in groups, whilst the rest can be seen basking on the rocky edges.
brzegówka, oknówka and jerzyk can all be seen in summer. oknówka nest in ready-made boxes under the eaves of houses by the roundabout barrage entrance. brzegówka nest in the walls of the bay.
ostrygojad can be seen on the barrage all year round, as well as krwawodziób. dzwoniec is another resident around the bay. When the tide goes out, many species, such as ohar can be seen feeding.
Winter visitors include mewa mała. However, check sightings before going as they tend to move around a lot. Finally, rarities include zausznik, lodówka and czerniczka.
