Opis
Great Cumbrae Island is a good place to see głuptak which nest on nearby Ailsa Craig. Also auks, terns, skuas, sea ducks especially lodówka, shearwaters and fulmar. Waders including ostrygojad, kulik wielki, kamusznik, biegus morski best viewed at the north end. Warblers including świerszczak nest in abundance.

10 minute car or pedestrian ferry from Largs, which is 27 miles west of Glasgow via A760. Train or bus available in Largs. Drive, cycle or walk around the island's coast. Boat trips also available. A circular walk of the island is 16 km/10 miles.
