Opis
Nedern Brook Wetlands is an area of rough and cultivated pasture, scrub and some trees. Breeding birds such as krwawodziób, pliszka żółta, muchołówka szara and potrzos, augmented when flooded by passage waders, łabędź czarnodzioby, up to 1,000 świstun, czapla nadobna, czapla złotawa and czapla siwa. In dry summers, persicaria, yellow rattle, willowherb and thistles abound, providing food for finches.

Easy access from M48 or M4. Car parks (free) at west end of interesting Roman village of Caerwent, or at Caldicot castle. 3 small laybys on Crick to Caldicot road, opposite David Broome Equestrian Centre. Footpaths cross the area but inaccessible when flooded. Click on a P in the map to get directions to a parking.
