The reservoir is shallow, having only a maximum depth of 9m (30’), which makes it very attractive to both dabbling and diving ducks. It occasionally attracts less common wildfowl, such as nurogęś and markaczka and perkoz rdzawoszyi, zausznik and perkoz rogaty.
