Opis
The Solway Firth is an extensive and remote area of saltmarsh, mudflats, sandy coast, dunes and reedbeds attracting a wide range of wetland birds. Breeding and passage waders include krwawodziób, kamusznik, ostrygojad and kulik wielki. Winter wildfowl and seabirds include Płaskonos, cyraneczka, łabędź krzykliwy, gęś krótkodzioba, bernikla białolica, gągoł, edredon, and divers, grebes, and auks. Also look out for czapla nadobna, zimorodek, skowronek, kląskawka and świergotek łąkowy. Otters are possible, plus seals, porpoise and dolphin offshore. At Grune Point the receding sea leaves tidal lagoons ideal for rockpooling.
