Étang de Vic is a lagoon located on the Mediterranean coast and part of a larger network of shallow saltwater lagoons along the Mediterranean shoreline. This part of the lake with wetland bordering the wastewater treatment plant offers favorable nesting spots and stopover sites for many birds. Among the birds you can expect are Pato-branco, Flamingo-comum, Alfaiate, Pernilongo, Frango-d'água, Escrevedeira-dos-caniços, Garça-branca-pequena, Gaivota-de-bico-fino, Gaivina-de-faces-brancas and many more.

Étang de Vic is located on the Mediterranean coast in the Languedoc, near the town of Mireval. To get there, go to the wastewater treatment plant and continue to the parking lot. There is a height barrier to prevent vehicles such as camper vans/motorhomes from parking. Press P on the map for directions tot the parking lot. Public transport: the Vic-Mireval train station is within walking distance.
