Parc des Gayeulles is nice to visit if you're passing through or live in the area. The park's diverse habitats (meadows, pond, woodlands, etc.) allow a variety of birds to be observed. For example, you'll find Chapim-azul, chapim-real, Chapim-palustre, Pisco-de-peito-ruivo, melro and Chapim-rabilongo. Four woodpeckers live in or pass through the park: Pica-pau-verde, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno and Pica-pau-mediano. As for waterfowl, Mergulhão-pequeno, Galeirão-comum, Galinha-d'água and Garça-real are present. There is also a resting place where you can see Guincho-comum on one of the ponds.

Français: Parc public avec de grandes prairies et quelques étangs et boisements. Présence de Papa-moscas-cinzento en été et de Bico-grossudo en hiver. Si vous passez / habitez dans le coin il peut être intéressant d'aller voir ce parc étonnamment grand pour un parc situé à l'intérieur de la ville. La diversité des habitats de ce parc (Prairies, étang, boisements...) permet au cortège d'oiseaux des jardins de le peupler aisément. Par exemple Chapim-azul, chapim-real, Chapim-palustre, Pisco-de-peito-ruivo ou encore melro et Chapim-rabilongo. 4 pics peuplent ou sont de passage dans le parc Pica-pau-verde, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno et Pica-pau-mediano. Au niveau des oiseaux d'eau, Mergulhão-pequeno , Galeirão-comum ou encore Galinha-d'água et Garça-real sont de la partie. Il y a aussi un reposoir à Guincho-comum sur l'un des étangs.

Parc des Gayeulles is located on the northeastern outskirts of the city of Rennes. Several parking lots are easily accessible around the park. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The park is also accessible by bus or metro. The park can be visited on foot or by bicycle, but not by car. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 4 km.
