Descrição
Eagle Gorge is an easily accessible gorge from Dedoplistsqaro. Grifo-comum, Cegonha-preta and falcão-peregrino breed on the cliffs and can easily be seen from specific watchpoints along the routes. On warm days, Águia-cobreira and Águia-calçada make regular appearances. In the forest down in the valley Papa-figos and Felosa-brilhante can be heard in spring and summer.
The cliff walls are home to Trepadeira-rupestre, Melro-azul and Androinha-das-rochas. Near the parking lot Escrevedeira-de-cabeça-preta, Sombria and Toutinegra-gavião are heard singing or can be seen on migration. In autumn, Grou-pequeno are sometimes seen migrating past the highest tops. Further along the path there is a breeding facility for wild Faisão , so a true wild bird of this species has to be encountered somewhere else.
