The Deixilfurter See is the main lake in a series of small lakes surronded by mature woodland. It is easy to walk around the whole lake and offers a mix of good woodland and wetland birding throughout the year. In winter, Frisada and Merganso-grande can be found on the lake and in summer there is breeding Ganso-comum, Mergulhão-de-crista and Pato-de-bico-vermelho. rouxinol-dos-caniços can also be heard singing in the reedbeds around the lake in the summer. In the surrounding woodlands, it's possible to see Estrelinha-de-cabeça-listada, Trepadeira-comum, Chapim-de-poupa, Chapim-palustre and chapim-montês at different times of the year.

The Deixilfurter See is located west of Tutzing. There are multiple car parking options close by and the lake itself is about a 15 minute walk from the Traubingerstrasse in Tutzing itself. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. A circular walk around the lake is about 3 km.
