Descrição
The pond of Rixdorfer Teich is popular with typical urban birds like Chapim-rabilongo, Pisco-de-peito-ruivo and Gaio-comum, as well as waterfowl like Cisne-vulgar, Pato-mandarim and Galinha-d'água.
Some of the usual chapim-real are very used to humans and will even take seeds from the hand. There is a family of Águia-d'asa-redonda that live in the park, and one or two are usually hanging around in the trees near the pond. In summer many Andorinha-das-chaminés circle over the pond, and in autumn and winter there are always lots of Pintassilgo in the alders next to the pond.
