The area consists of fields bordered by small groves and patches of farmland overgrown with herbs and flowers, which attract many interesting birds such as: Cartaxo-nortenho, Cotovia-de-poupa, Laverca, Águia-d'asa-redonda, Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis and Poupa. In winter, you can see Tartaranhão-azulado and many Tordo-zornal there. In the patches of woodland, you can find Pica-pau-verde, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Estrelinha-de-poupa and Corvo.
