The hike up to Cape Rauðinúpur takes about 30-45 minutes. Different species of Arau-comum nest on the cliffs of Rauðinúpur and you can also see Fulmar-glacial and Gaivota-tridáctila here. On the rock is a large colony with over 250 breeding pairs of Ganso-patola.

The cape is located on one of the northernmost points of Iceland. The bird rock of Cape Rauðinúpur can only be reached on foot after a 2 km hike (one way). Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking lot.
