Large flocks of Marreco, Pato-trombeteiro, Piadeira, Gaivota-pequena, Gaivota-de-cabeça-preta fly over the island on migration. It is wintering site for great numbers of Mobêlha-pequena and Garajau-comum, but Mobêlha-árctica, Cagarra-do-mediterrânico and Pato-fusco too.
