Boswachterij Dorst is a beautiful forest area with ponds, lakes and some open areas and sand drifts. Due to the variety of different landscapes, many different bird species live in the woods, such as Pica-pau-preto, Corvo and Chapim-de-poupa. Other birds you might encounter include Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Laverca, Cotovia-pequena, Dom-fafe, Bico-grossudo, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca, Mergulhão-pequeno and Garça-branca-grande.

Nederlands: Boswachterij Dorst is een mooi en vrij groot aaneengesloten bosgebied van 1.100 hectare met daarin vennen, leemputten, kleine zandverstuivingen en open stukken. Het was voorheen een productiebos met vooral veel naaldhout, maar Staatbosbeheer is al jaren bezig het gebied om te vormen naar een meer gevarieerd gemengd bos. Dat heeft geresulteerd in een verscheidenheid aan verschillende landschappen en divers bos waar veel verschillende vogelsoorten leven zoals Pica-pau-preto, Corvo en Chapim-de-poupa. Andere vogels die je in het gebied kunt tegenkomen zijn onder meer Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Laverca, Cotovia-pequena, Dom-fafe, Bico-grossudo, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca, Mergulhão-pequeno, Garça-branca-grande en vijf soorten spechten.

Boswachterij Dorst is located east of the city of Breda, between the towns of Dorst, Oosterhout, Rijen, and Teteringen. If you want to walk straight into the area, you can park at Restaurant Beum. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to a gate that leads to the area. If you're cycling, you can cycle to the gate and park your bike in the designated shed. You can also park at Natuurpoortcafé BOS & Co on the northern edge of the forest. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking lot. The circular walk shown on the map starts from the parking lot at Restaurant Beum and is approximately 5 km.

Nederlands: Boswachterij Dorst ligt ten oosten van Breda tussen Dorst, Oosterhout, Rijen en Teteringen. Als je gelijk het gebied in wil lopen, zou je kunnen parkeren bij restaurant Beum. Vanuit hier is het een kleine 10 minuten lopen voordat je bij een poortje bent om in het gebied te gaan. Als je met de fiets bent kun je wel naar het poortje fietsen en daar je fiets in de daarvoor bestemde stalling zetten. Je kunt ook parkeren bij Natuurpoortcafé BOS & Co dat aan de noordkant van het gebied ligt. Druk op een P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar een parkeerplaats. De rondwandeling die is weergegeven op de kaart vertrekt vanaf de parkeerplaats bij restaurant Beum en is ongeveer 5 km.
