The Knarbos Oost is a young forest area with reeds and small marshy parts. You can spot almost all summer guest songbirds there, because there are so many hawthorn bushes. For example Rouxinol-comum, Papa-amoras-comum, papa-amoras-cinzento and Felosa-icterina. In the young forest you can already find Pica-pau-malhado-grande and Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno. In the fields around the forest, the Borrelho-ruivo is sometimes seen in the spring, and in the winter Búteo-calçado and Esmerilhão.

Nederlands: Het Knarbos Oost is een mooi, klein bosgebied met veel zangvogels. Het is een jong bosgebied met riet en kleine moerassen. Je kunt er nagenoeg alle zomergast zangvogels spotten, omdat er zoveel meidoornstruiken zijn. Bijvoorbeeld Rouxinol-comum, Papa-amoras-comum, papa-amoras-cinzento en Felosa-icterina. In het jonge bos zitten al Pica-pau-malhado-grande en Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno. In de akkers rond het bos wordt in het voorjaar wel eens de Borrelho-ruivo gezien en in de winter Búteo-calçado en Esmerilhão.

Knarbos Oost is located south of Lelystad Airport. It is easily accessible via Vogelweg N706. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The area is best explored on foot. The circular walk indicated on the map is approximately 4 km.
