A bay heavily overgrown with reeds and marshy shores - therefore observations in this place are only possible from a large distance, using a telescope. The places from where you can observe the bay are located on a hill, providing a great view. At any time of year, there are many water birds in the bay. During migrations and in winter, these are mainly flocks of: Pato-real, Frisada, Piadeira, Marrequinha-comum, Pato-trombeteiro, Zarro-negrinha, Galeirão-comum, Mergulhão-de-crista, Mergulhão-pequeno, Gaivota-pequena (up to several thousand individuals), Cisne-vulgar, Cisne-bravo, Ganso-grande-de-testa-branca, Tundra Bean Goose, Merganso-grande, Merganso-pequeno and Pato-olho-d'ouro. During the breeding season Gaivina-preta and Gaivina-de-faces-brancas nest in this area. The bay is a regular hunting ground for Águia-rabalva and Águia-pesqueira (spring and summer).

The best place to observe is near the village of Skarchowo - look for elevations. The shores of the bay are inaccessible, there are no roads passable for cars. The suggested parking place is marked on the map. Press P on the map for directions.
