The fields near the village of Rodersdorf are very natural with many hedges and fallow areas in which Papa-amoras-comum, Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo, and Cartaxo-nortenho breed. Part of the area is a small nature reserve where Rouxinol-grande-dos-caniços and other reed inhabitants can be found. Breeding at the church are Gralha-de-nuca-cinzenta. In autumn, many birds of prey such as Águia-pesqueira, Tartaranhão-caçador, Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis, Tartaranhão-azulado and Bútio-vespeiro pass through. In addition, Cegonha-preta move across the area every year. It is also one of the best alvéola-amarela spots in the region.
