Al Jazirah Khor is a large wetland and coastal protected area extending over 3 kilometers and known for its rich biodiversity and mangrove habitats. The area is rich in migratory and resident birds. The marine wetland is good for waders, gulls, terns, herons, Corvo-marinho-arábico, Flamingo-comum, Colhereiro and Abibe do Índico. batuíra-caranguejeira is regularly observed. In the trees and bushes you can find Picanço-grande, Prínia-delicada and Zaragateiro-árabe.

Al Jazirah Khor is located south of the city of Ra's al-Khaimah. You can overlook the wetland from the dune tops and the surrounding area. The coastal resort Anantara Mina Al Arab (1) borders the wetland and is a good base to explore the area.
