Allhallows Marshes cover 98 hectares of land consisting of grazing marsh with water courses, ditches, fields, dykes and hedgerows. The brackish, grazing marshes attract many birds. Wading birds like Perna-vermelha-comum, Ostraceiro, Fuselo, Maçarico-de-bico-direito, Maçarico-real, Maçarico-galego, Alfaiate and Combatente. But also many other birds like geese, ducks and gulls. Also Coruja-do-nabal and Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis, Borrelho-grande-de-coleira, Garça-branca-grande and Cuco-canoro can be seen. Others seen from time to time are Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo and Melro-de-peito-branco on passage. Íbis-preta is a current visitor.
