Descrição
I was amazed to see that the harbour at low tide is a popular roosting area for autumn migrant flocks of Tarambola-dourada and Andorinha-do-mar-anã. Large numbers of Torda-anã, Gaivota-pequena, Moleiro-grande, Moleiro-parasítico, Moleiro-de-cauda-comprida, Pardela-sombria, Pardela-preta, Gaivota-tridáctila and Fulmar-glacial can be seen from the clifftop walk east of town.
Beyond the Seaton Cliffs reserve, 3 miles on foot from Arbroath, is Seaton Den, a wooded valley frequented by migrant passerines. Rarities like Felosa-bilistada, Felosa-icterina, Papa-moscas-pequeno and Toutinegra-gavião may turn up in autumn.
Cliffs can be steep, take care with children and dogs. There is a tarmac path.
