Badbury Woods are a lovely quiet place for a walk and if you can make the early morning start the dawn chorus amongst the trees is stunning. There are all sorts of birds to be found from Milhafre-real over the surrounding fields, to Tordeia, Trepadeira-do-bosque, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Chapim-rabilongo, Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto, Estrelinha-de-poupa and many more.

Badbury Clump is located just west of the town of Faringdon. The area is owned by The National Trust - the car park is free for members or charged for non-members (currently £4 all day or £2 for up to two hours). Click on the P in the map for directions.
