Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of Piadeira, Marrequinha-comum and Pato-trombeteiro in winter, amongst smaller numbers of Pato-olho-d'ouro. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Perna-vermelha-comum, Ostraceiro and Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of rouxinol-dos-caniços, Felosa-dos-juncos and Rouxinol-bravo, Cuco-canoro and Frango-d'água. Ógea are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Pilrito-falcinelo and Pilrito-peitoral, Falaropo-de-bico-grosso, Torcicolo and Picanço-barreteiro.

Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
