Descrição
Broom Lakes are former gravel pits that have become a nice habitat with pools and wet meadows that are interesting for many water birds and waders. When you walk around Broom Lakes you can - depending on the season - see good numbers of duck, including Pato-branco, Marrequinha-comum, Piadeira, Zarro-negrinha, Frisada and Pato-real. Both Mergulhão-de-crista and Mergulhão-pequeno are often seen. Other birds that can be seen here include Andorinha-do-mar-comum, Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira, Borrelho-grande-de-coleira, Ostraceiro, Abibe-comum, Perna-vermelha-comum, Merganso-grande, Escrevedeira-dos-caniços, Escrevedeira-amarela, Milhafre-real, Águia-d'asa-redonda and peneireiro-de-dorso-malhado / peneireiro.
