Burnham Overy Staithe has many different habitats that attract many birds. Leaving the village on the sea wall you pass a range of habitats all excellent for birds at any time of year. Coastal creeks, saltmarsh, freshwater marshes, pools, beach and coast.
Depending on time of year possible birds include: Ganso-de-bico-curto, Ganso-de-faces-negras, Ganso-de-faces-brancas, Rouxinol-bravo, Piadeira, Maçarico-real, Pilrito-comum, Perna-vermelha-comum, Tarambola-dourada, coruja-da-igreja / coruja-das-torres, Milhafre-real, Petinha-dos-prados, Petinha-marítima, Pilrito-sanderlingo, Maçarico-de-bico-direito, Fuselo and Abibe-comum.

Burnham Overy Staithe is located on the Norfolk coast. The best place to park is in the village by the creek. Press P on the map for directions. Be aware of tide times (see link to tide table below) if using the creek car park or stay on the road. Turn off the A149 to access roadside parking by the creek. Explore on foot. You may be able to use the costal hopper service during summer months but the area is best viisted from late summer till spring. The route shown on the map is about 4 km one way.
