Descrição
Chafford Gorges is a beautiful nature reserve set in amongst a new build housing estate, with lakes overlooked by a huge white ravine. A network of pathways take you around lakes, meadows and woodland. Among the birds that you can expect to see are Guarda-rios-comum, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Pica-pau-verde, Andorinha-das-barreiras, Pato-trombeteiro, Zarro-negrinha, Mergulhão-pequeno, Gavião da Europa, Felosa-dos-juncos, rouxinol-dos-caniços, Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto, Pintassilgo and Rouxinol-bravo. In winter, the gorges are visited by birds such as Lugre, pintarroxo-pequeno and Zarro-comum.

The park is within walking distance of Chafford Hundred railway station. When you choose to arrive by car there is a free car park on site. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
