Descrição
The brickworks only closed in the 1980’s and since then the buildings were cleared with just concrete foundations and a brick wharf giving any hint to the history of this site. Rouxinol-comum and Rola-comum can be heard, and a colony of Gaivota-de-cabeça-preta are usually found nesting offshore on Fowley Island. Among the other birds you can encounter in the area are papa-amoras-cinzento, Ganso-de-faces-negras, Pato-branco, Cuco-canoro, Merganso-de-poupa, Alfaiate, Ostraceiro, Tarambola-cinzenta, Abibe-comum, Maçarico-real, Pilrito-comum and Maçarico-de-bico-direito.
